West Felpham Flood Action Assembly – WFFAA

Preventing flooding in Felpham

Local Groups

The Villages Action Group (VAG) was originally formed in 2003 to fight proposals for large-scale development of greenfield sites around the villages of Aldingbourne and Westergate that were being promoted as part of the West Sussex Structure Plan.

The Felpham Village Conservation Society gives a voice to residents who wish to help protect its patrimony and develop its potential. They find ways to fund-raise so they can support appropriate village conservation projects.

We are affiliated to the National Flood Forum.

This is what they do taken from their website:

The National Flood Forum is a national charity dedicated to supporting and representing communities and individuals at risk of flooding.  We do this by:

  1. Helping people to prepare for flooding in order to prevent it or mitigate its impacts
  2. Helping people to recover their lives once they have been flooded
  3. Campaigning on behalf of flood risk communities and working with government and agencies to ensure that they develop a community perspective.
